Thoroughly study and analyze the job advertisement looking for commonalities, mutual areas of interest, craft convincing win-win arguments, know what the other side wants, work on consensus building, forge connections, build a case for the solutions that you are offering, enthusiastically state what you can do both clearly and confidently, close with gratitude and your work is done. Your plan can be as simple as listing down three key things that you want to include in your cover letter, or it can be a detailed plan such as the elements that you want to include in each main paragraph.
